Photographic Prints / Technical Notes
All of my photographs are made with prints as the intended final object. To achieve the highest quality prints possible, I combine high-resolution digital photographic techniques that include multi-row panoramic stitching, image stacking, pixel shifting, focus stacking, and multi-image blending processes borrowed from astrophotography. Some of the photos here are assembled from more than 1000 individual frames using combinations of these techniques.
My prints are made from these multi-gigabyte ultra-high-resolution image files. Every pixel on the paper is one pixel captured by the camera sensor, with no interpolation either up or down anywhere in the process, creating what I like to call "digital contact prints." They carry an exquisite tonal complexity, as close to continuous-tone printing as can be achieved with current technology.
PRINT SIZES and titles are shown in the captions at lower left. All prints also can easily be custom sized either up or down for a specific space. Color prints are made as archival pigmented inkjets on watercolor paper, and B&W prints are made with carbon pigment on watercolor paper.
AI has not been used in any way to create or process any of my photographs.
